Your "question" was way too long to read, but I know what your point is from your title.

If I were a church, I would never file for a 501c3.

I just believe a preacher should be able to preach...about anything they may want to preach about....and to heck with worrying about the government jerking away their precious non-profit status.

To answer your main question.....practice what ya preach, bubba.
YOU are criticizing others. But you don't seem smart enough to notice it.

It seems like we have set the bar low for ourselves, it's astonishing and of course makes me wanna slap some sense into other blacks, black Americans I mean.
For us to be successful we need to do numerous things:
1) Actually start giving a damn about school. Sure we've gotten our respect in sports, and have basically dominated the NBA, but why can't we do the same w/ education?
2) Bring back OLD morals that our grandparents, etc. have. We take too much for granted, and need to stop our dumb, foolish ways.
3) Get rid of the nasty attitude, how the hell are we gonna get somehwere in life w/ an attitude like some of us have now? No more we think the world owes us.
4) Currently 70% of black women have kids b4 marriage! I want to see that at least reduced to 50% in the next few years (and at least have it at 40% in a few decades). Having kids when married means making more money, and being financially stable, thus being able to send our kids to college, etc.
5) REMEMBER, this isn't what MLK wanted of us, he would be ashamed today if he was alive.

Now I know not all black people are like this, but many are, and it needs to change in order for us to be successful.

Eunice was such an interesting character. She was like a crazed Lucille Ball when it came to performing arts. Amazes me how they all get us to buy into/invest in their characters and situations. Great acting!

Yeah I am one of those elitists who is kind of funny about insisting that everybody be financially self-sufficient as opposed to waiting around for a government handout. Some call this a "work ethic."

Actually you should thank me. Capitalism is what makes the world thrive and ultimately (although granted, not equally) raises the standard of living for all of us. How somebody can sit through a basic economics course in business school and not come away understanding that will never cease to amaze me.

Whom is your anger hurting more? You or the person on the receiving end of your contempt? Oh well, it was just a thought.

It appears that the gay community of America are not doing themselves any favours. For a country who's foundations are so strongly built on democracy, it's puzzling why there has been a backlash against the voice of the majority.

I really do not understand why America hasn't gone down the sensible compromise route and adopted Civil Partnerships (not Civil Unions, but legally recognised and equal CP's)

It's clear that America isnt ready to adopt same sex marriage, maybe in 10, 20 or 100 years it will be ready. But I'll be blown if I can understand why people are getting so wound up over the word "marriage".

America should have looked at other countries to see what has and hasn't worked and followed their lead.
