$100,000 from 10 customers? Can it Be True?

Obviously that level of income from such a small number of customers *may* seem a little unbelievable at first and to begin with I was a little dubious as well.

However, when I discovered that this strategy had been created by Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey, (two guys well known for their high

quality material and innovative ideas), it suddenly caught my attention, especially when I learned that scaled up, the numbers stack up like this:

5 customers = $50,000

10 customers = $100,000

50 customers = $500,000

100 customers = $1,000,000

This is a VERY unusual type of online business, one that I had not previously thought of… and if you’re short of time be VERY sure to watch this short video because when you see the specific details, you’ll quickly understand how and why this really works:

www.softe4u.com/sembizblue/

What’s even more facinating is that in order to do this yourself, you don’t need any previous experience with internet marketing (you learn as you go along) and they will give also you absolutely everything you need to get started. Frankly, the FACTS speak for themselves…

- There is a huge market demand for this.

- The ecomomic downturn actually BENEFITS this type of business.

- You dont need to be an expert in Pay Per

Click or Search Engine Optimization.

- You don’t need any addtional investment.

- Between 5 to 10 customers will create a six

figure income and allow you to quit your job. This is conclusive proof that the potential here is extraordinary and I highly recommend that you check out this video as soon as possible:

What business minor should I get in addition to human resource management?
As a psych major I am well aware that my major is useless on its own so I am going to get some background in business by majoring in human resource management. My college also offers seven other business minors, accounting, business administration, economics, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, and personal financial planning. Which of these would be beneficial along with my HRM minor?

If your business still does not have a merchant account that allows you to offer full credit card services, you are turning your back on profits. Just take a look at all of your competitors. All of those that pose serious competition accept credit card payments. Those that do not have credit card services do not have great sales figures to show, either. Even statistics point to the fact that companies that have credit card services earn much more than companies that do not have credit card services. The average credit card sale is $40 while the average cash sale is only $9. That means you are losing potentially $31 per sale.

You may also be spending more by accepting only cash and check payments in your business. The processing of cash and checks has been found to be more costly, requiring more manpower in handling. Studies have shown that the average processing cost of credit card payments is only 2.7% of a transaction while the average processing cost of checks is 4% of a transaction and the average processing cost of cash is 4.8% of a transaction. Once again, you are leaking profits by refusing to accept credit card payments.

So how do you accept credit card payments in your business? This is where credit card services come in. The old route is to apply for a merchant account in a bank. You will then have to lease the software and equipment necessary to actually process payments and send the data to your account. If you want to accept credit card payments online, you need to apply to a payment gateway that allows real time credit card authorization for online transactions. You should ensure that your payment gateway is compatible with the bank or financial institution where you have your merchant account, and with the software and equipment you have leased.

In choosing the bank or financial institution for your merchant account, consider their expertise in combating fraud and reducing chargebacks. Also make sure that they are experienced in handling merchant accounts with online transactions.

If you are a small business owner, stick to a bank or financial institution that caters to small businesses rather than large companies. You may be able to get better rates and packages designed for your specific niche.

There are options for credit card services that offer everything you need in one easy package. You will not have to deal with various entities or go through various procedures. Often, these options also have added benefits, among them, quick reporting on your credit card sales figures. They may also offer interest on your credit card sales income, even up to money market rates.

One very important feature of your credit card services that you may not know of is that it can automatically qualify you to avail of small business loans. Once you have established a record of sales through credit, most credit card services will allow you to make cash advances that are practically like getting previously approved small business loans without having to put up any required collateral. The credit card services consider your future income through credit card sales as your collateral. This can go a long way in further growing your business.

Payment will not be a problem, either. For as long as you have sales through credit payments, you automatically get to pay your small business loans. It does not matter how much your sales are. Your payments are automatically deducted as a percentage of your sales. You are always covered.

Now do you still need further convincing on the benefits of credit card services for your business?

What kind of business license do I need for an internet business or ebay business?
I am planning a business. I will start out with baskets for new babies and if all goes well I will make the extra investment for wedding baskets, and then so on and forth. By baskets I mean gift baskets. I have researched local business license, but I am not sure if a local business is the right way to go, so I am thinking internet or Ebay. What kind of license do you need for these types of businesses.

Many business owners simply set up shop and instantly start running ads. They never invest any time in designing their marketing or sales strategy. The result is that they lose thousands of dollars and usually don’t get the sales results that they’re after. We’re going to share with you a simple marketing strategy that’s time tested and business proven. It will empower you to get the maximum leverage from your marketing efforts.

Think of the overall market in your city. Your ‘potential market’ is comprised of all the potential buyers of your product or service in your city. To simplify the process, we overlay a ‘Spectrum’, called ‘The Buyer’s Spectrum’, over top of the potential market. Realize that on one end of the spectrum, 3-5% of the market have a preferred vendor (a family member, a business that they’ve been with for years, etc.) and will never buy from you.

On the other end of the spectrum, 3-5% of the market are NOW buyers and respond quickly to virtually any type of marketing. This leaves roughly 90% of the market that doesn’t want to buy what you’re selling right now yet WILL BUY at some future date.

Amazingly enough, the majority of companies focus their marketing efforts exclusively on the 3-5% of the market that are NOW buyers. They leave the remaining 90% of potential customers on the table. Their philosophy is that if a prospect doesn’t buy from them right now, then they discard them and focus on the ones that do want to buy from them. If you share this philosophy, you’re making A BIG MISTAKE!

‘Why’ do you ask? Well, think about a grove of orange trees. If you wanted to pick the ripe oranges, do you think that all of the oranges ripen at the same time? Of course not. The oranges ripen all at different times (we call this ‘The Customer Buying Cycle’). So what do you do, simply pick the few oranges that are ripe and then burn the rest of the field? Once again the answer is no. Yet this is what many companies do.

If you want to get more of the ripe oranges, then what you must do is water, fertilize and nurture the orange tree grove consistently. Bit by bit, the other oranges WILL RIPEN. And when they do, you’re there pick them. Now you may not get them all yet you’ll certainly get the lion’s share.

In the same way, you ‘water, fertilize and nurture’ the 90% of your potential market that doesn’t buy right away. And like the grove of orange trees, bit by bit, they too will ‘ripen’ or buy what you’re offering. If your marketing strategy addresses this, then you will get the lion’s share of the customers.

For you to get most out of your marketing and sales, your marketing strategy must address the phenomenon of both ‘The Buyer’s Spectrum’ and “The Customer Buying Cycle’ to be effective. Make sure to read our article “How To Increase Your Sales By 300% Or More By Effectively Leveraging Follow Up Systems”.

One of the most compelling cases for video conferencing technology has to be the reduction in travel costs.

Many businesses increasingly view travel as a drain on time and budgets. You can understand why when most business travellers admit that only half of the time spent on a business trip can be classed as productive working time. Not only could you reduce your business travel bills by up to 30%, but you could also improve employee productivity by cutting back on idle hours.

Allied to the reduction in travel time and costs is the environmental argument. Video conferencing uses little energy – no petrol, diesel or aviation fuel, only a few units of electricity. The technology can help the business reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact. To demonstrate the point, a UK environment minister gave a keynote speech at the Climate Change Conference in Sydney via video conferencing. This saved 60 hours of travel time and 6.2 tons of CO2 emissions.

Your business could benefit in other ways too. Video conferencing gives you the flexibility to hold ad-hoc meetings; you don’t have to plan weeks in advance. This flexibility could speed up decision-making and response times, which will also benefit your customers.

Why invest in video conferencing now?

In the past, video conferencing has had a bad reputation. It’s been seen as expensive, complex to implement and delivering low quality, jerky images. However, these arguments are losing ground as the technology rapidly evolves and affordable fast connections make high definition video conferencing a reality.

Traditionally, you would have needed an ISDN network for video conferencing, but today’s IP-based networks are fuelling an interest in converged voice, video and data communications. IP lends itself to cost-effective voice and video conferencing and has the added benefit of allowing users to collaborate on documents simultaneously. Cisco estimates that global IP traffic will increase fivefold over the next four years. The company also estimates that all forms of video traffic will make up 90% of global consumer IP traffic by 2013.

Video conferencing shopping list

There is a video conferencing system for every budget, ranging from personal desktop systems using low cost webcams, through to specialist video conferencing equipment designed for use in meeting rooms and other shared environments. However, the essential components of any video conferencing solution are camera, microphone, monitor, speaker and codec.

For most organisations, high definition video conferencing is the most readily available option and offers good quality on a limited budget (usually between £1,500 and £5,000).

Your next consideration should be the number of point to point video-enabling terminals or ‘endpoints’ needed. If you specify too few endpoints users could get frustrated that they do not have access to the technology. You need to balance the cost of the video conferencing equipment and services against convenient access to the network of endpoints.

Video infrastructure – a high definition video conferencing service may require an investment in additional network infrastructure, such as a dedicated line or circuit for each endpoint. Each session will demand connectivity of around 1Mbps for clear video and audio. Deploying high definition video on the enterprise network can cause problems; the network may not be able to handle real-time video, while video activity may compromise other enterprise tasks. The right media-ready network is vital to the delivery of business video applications.

Extra peripherals – you might also want to invest in additional peripheral devices to enhance the video conferencing experience; this could include high definition and wide-angle cameras, upgraded speakers and microphones. You may also want to connect your systems to DVDs, VCRs and document and multimedia applications via a PC.

Test the water with web conferencing

If there’s some resistance to investing in video conferencing solutions, one way of proving the benefit to the business may be to experiment with lower cost web conferencing solutions. These could not only demonstrate cost savings but also lead the way to more sophisticated technology.

Web conferencing allows your staff to share what’s on their desktop with people in other locations. Typically, this happens in conjunction with a phone call or audio conferencing session. Additional features include the ability to share documents and to work collaboratively on projects.

Why telepresence could be the next step for video conferencing

John Chambers, Cisco chief executive, has compared telepresence to “Star Trek teleporting”. Telepresence offers ultra high resolution, which makes video conferencing an even more immersive experience. Spatial audio allows the transmission of every nuance of a conversation, while huge screens and high quality cameras capture every detail of an expression.

Fabulous as this sounds, telepresence remains an expensive technology to implement at present. It requires a high-bandwidth connection and a specifically designed room at each location.

In order to keep up with your customers’ demands you need a real-time 360 degree view of your business. Your systems need to operate 24 hours a day and your stock levels must be up to date at all times.

When your company is small and based in a single location, things are simple. But they may start to get complicated when you expand or start to outsource into other territories, either at home or abroad. For example, if you’re a retail business with multiple shops around the country, as well as a national distribution hub and a factory located abroad, then ideally you want everyone in the business to send you data in real-time. This way you can know at any time how many coats have sold in your Newcastle shop and how much stock remains at the distribution point.

You want every part of your business to be connected. This way a sales till in your shop in Newcastle can both ring up sales and keep track of how much money has been taken. It can also connect to the internet and access your company website, as well as interrogate the distribution hub to see if there’s any stock left or to put in an order if more stock is needed. You also want it to be easy for the shop assistant on the till to be able to contact anyone in the organisation, no matter where they are, in order to get an idea of stock levels in different shops or to find information about forthcoming products.

Without fast connectivity, you have to disconnect each part of the business from the headquarters and collect data on a daily or weekly basis. But this means accounts are always a few days or a week out of synch, so nobody can say with any certainty whether or not an item is in stock. Such businesses are also unable to respond effectively to changes in the market both locally and nationally.

Seeking connectivity solutions via broadband

Some companies look to the internet and broadband for a solution, but here there are also drawbacks, namely a lack of security. Unfortunately, the internet is an inherently insecure network. For example, whenever you send an email, that email is split into small bits by the sender and then bounces from server to server until it’s reassembled at its destination. At any point along that route it’s possible for someone to intercept those deconstructed bits. And if you’re streaming video or audio the data can get out of sequence, as different parts of the file are sent over different paths and may not be received in the order in which they were sent. Broadband connections, while fast enough for consumer needs, are less likely to be adequate for medium to large business use. When you share one broadband line between multiple users in, say, a branch office and you need to send, upload and download large files you start to hit problems. Most available broadband connections are asynchronous, meaning they download at one rate and upload at another. Therefore, an 8Mbps connection will allow you to download a file at 8Mbps, but only upload at around 512k to 1Mbps. Speed is also dependent on your distance from the exchange and the number of other people sharing your connection.

Wide Area Network Options

The simplest solution to the problem is to create a set of dedicated connections between your sites. With these, the upload speed is as fast as the download speed, and it has pre-agreed levels of service, which are set via a service level agreement (SLA). Also, the line is used by your business and no one else, so the download speed will not reduce at peak times when the business next-door starts to send large CAD/CAM files.

Leased lines are one of the simplest connections, offering connectivity up to 155Mb, but there are other options that offer faster performance, often at a lower price. For example, if your offices are dispersed across a business park, a town, a city or a region, Ethernet Extensions are one way to link your people. Ethernet Extensions offer unlimited usage through a dedicated, fixed-price digital transmission channel. This secure, fibre-based service offers dedicated connections at Ethernet speeds of 10, 100, 1000 Mb and up to 10Gb. You can have point-to-point connections or point to multipoint, as well as supporting business critical applications and high speed file transfer to improve efficiency. All this between locations up to 25km apart allowing you to exchange large amounts of data effectively and efficiently.

In cases where your offices are spread across the country, National Ethernet may be a good solution. National Ethernet offers unlimited usage across the UK at speeds of 2Mb right up to 1Gb across our national network. If bandwidth upgrades are needed, they can typically be done remotely without the need for a site visit. Whether you need multiple circuits or a single connection, the service can be tailored to you. Annual charges are fixed regardless of usage or distance.

As the number of your sites increases, it becomes more complicated to rely on individual connections between them. In these cases, a virtual private network is often a good alternative, allowing you to share resources efficiently rather than on a site-by-site basis. An IPVPN is a cost effective, secure, flexible, scalable and fully managed service. IPVPN provides the security of a VPN with superior performance for business-critical applications, plus the cost benefits of converging voice, data and video traffic on the same network. The service is managed for you, including the set up and ongoing management of routers and IP routing. If you want to control your own routing hardware Ethernet VPNs can be a great solution, allowing you connect sites nationally, at speeds of 1MB to 1GB through our Next Generation Network.

Combining a Next Generation Network with VoIP

Because you have a connection that’s both fast and secure, you can start to use the connection to perform other tasks, such as video conferencing, or using the connection for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems.

One of the main criticisms of VoIP is that there’s no guarantee on call quality since the system uses the internet to route calls. Calls can sometimes break off or the voice quality can be so poor as to be impossible to use. However, using VoIP over a dedicated Next Generation Network will give you a clear line, as well as connections that are always reliable. This not only saves your business money, but also should encourage your employees to communicate more often.

Lastly, because you now have a constant fast and reliable connection between all your different sites, it’s now much easier and faster for your IT department to support users, no matter where they are, and to build in additional safeguards for your business, such as disaster recovery solutions. With a WAN your IT staff can use tools like Microsoft’s built-in Remote Desktop Connection to remotely control and share a PC, so there’s no need for site visits to fix simple IT problems. Additionally, the servers on your system can continuously back up their data to secondary sites. This way if a branch office is hit by fire or flood there’s a copy of all the lost data saved and available for use straight away. You can then restart the branch anywhere from within a few hours to a few days. Solutions like High Capacity Services can often be a great way of supporting the performance and bandwidth needed when servers are mirroring data of this kind over large distances.

How do I start a successful retail business?
I need assistance to get my questions answered regarding starting a retail business:

1. Which retail business would be best to start and why: a) Specialty retail business or b) Mail order business?

2. Which type of business is more predictable and does not change often: Specialty retail or mail order?

3. Many people say that PASSION is important when it comes to starting a business because the owner will have to work long hour to make his or her business a success. I agree with that but can you explain to me why there are many people out there who started their successful businesses outside their PASSION?

4. How can I choose products and services to sell that fit my personality and are part of my values?

5. I took a Myers-Briggs personality test and the result of the test shows that my personality type is an ISFJ (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging). Would someone like me who possess this personality type can become successful in operating his or her retail business?

The United States Postal Service sent out a document on “Ways Your Business Can Use Direct Mail.” It contains valuable tips that should be taken seriously by businesses throughout the United States, including businesses based locally in Miami FL. Postal services are very valuable indeed for bulk mail advertising and marketing and other business mailing services such as catalog mailing.

According to the USPS document, more than $31 billion dollars are spent every year in the United States for direct mail marketing. That in itself is proof of how effective direct mail advertising and marketing is as a way of reaching customers. If it has not been proven effective, cost-conscious businesses would not use it. After all, the bottom line of every business is profitablility.

Unlike mass media campaigns which are more expensive and reach out to a very wide audience, direct mail advertising and marketing can be very economical and can target specific individuals meeting certain criteria based on the company’s campaign objectives. This way, the direct mail advertising and marketing campaign becomes more cost-effective. Since these individuals have been chosen based on their need for the product or service being sold, the possibility of a sale per cost of marketing is higher.

Direct mail advertising and marketing can be scaled according to a company’s budget. Even if a firm can afford a large scale direct mail advertising and marketing campaign, a small scale version could first be launched to test, track and measure responses and, based on that, to predict the revenue from the more massive campaign. This further ensures profitability. A company can very efficiently measure its return on investment on each campaign.

If a business still does not have a clear idea of the demographics that it should target, it could, perhaps, base its initial mailing on more general criteria such as location. The direct mail advertising and marketing campaign itself could then generate qualified sales leads if it includes a reply function that encourages immediate response.

Through direct mail advertising and marketing, a company can introduce its products or services to prospective customers, establishing better brand recognition and recall. The printed material can give more extensive information that the prospective customer can use as basis for making a purchase decision. The direct mail advertising and marketing campaign can also give the customer several options to purchase the products or services conveniently. An order form could be included in the mailing. The customer can mail back the form immediately. Alternatively, the mail could also include instructions on buying the product or service online or through a phone call. This could lead to an instant sale.

Direct mail advertising and marketing is used not only for prospective customers but also for existing customers, as well. Companies can introduce new products or other existing product lines to current customers. The direct mail advertising and marketing campaign can also be used to provide a venue for feedback and dialogue so as to maintain and further strengthen customer relations. Loyal customers can be rewarded by being informed of new products or sale items ahead of others and, perhaps, by including some discount coupons in the direct mail.

Of course, a direct mail advertising and marketing campaign can be used to complement and even enhance all other advertising and marketing efforts of a company.

Even the smallest business can make the most of bulk direct mail advertising. If you need assistance in fulfillment services such as pre-folding, addressing and presort services, you might want to consider using the services of a mail house. There are mail houses offering full business mailing services in Miami FL.

Security has become a major concern these days and security systems are in demand in all areas of Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg. We live in uncertain times. With the current global economic crisis, businesses are facing downturns. Now, more than ever, companies need to protect the bottom line not only by increasing profits but also by preventing losses. One of the major sources of loss in businesses is theft. This includes both external theft and internal theft. It can be theft of material goods or information. It can be theft against the company itself or against its clients. Theft in all forms is bad for business. Aside from theft, losses can also be incurred from fire. Then there is vandalism. Commercial security systems can provide video surveillance and alarms, as well as access control, to guard against these.

If you feel the need to protect your business, you should consider the security of your home, as well. After all, your loved ones are infinitely more important than your source of income. As jobs are lost at a large scale with no promise of alternative employment, crime levels are expected to rise. It is unthinkable to leave our families unprotected and at risk especially if there are security systems designed specifically for homes available in Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg.

Commercial and Residential Security Systems

Discreet twenty-four-hour video surveillance can be provided with the use of digital surveillance cameras in residences or business locations. These cameras can be positioned strategically to give maximum coverage. Several can be made to work together.

When linked to a Digital Video Recorder (DVR), not only are images from the surveillance camera stored for later viewing, they are also made available for remote viewing anywhere around the world. All that is required is a static IP address, an internet connection and a computer. Any notebook, laptop or desktop PC will do. In other words, you can be sure that your home or business is under constant surveillance, night and day. You can check it out at any time in real time. You also have a permanent record of all surveillance tapes, whether you have viewed them or not, for future reference.

Surveillance alone will not suffice, though. Access control installed in all doorways ensures only authorized entry using security cards and prevents unwanted intrusion. Window and door sensors, as well as motion and glass break detectors, catch cases of unauthorized entry. Alerts are then immediately raised by alarms.

Fire safety detection and alarms, as well as life safety, can be provided, as well. All these are linked to a 24-hour emergency response system.

The entire package can be integrated into any intelligent building system, whether existing or customized. Service and support is available round the clock even on weekends. Upgrading and expansion is affordable as your needs change. Such security systems can be had through financing or by lease arrangements.

In choosing a security system for your home or business in Tampa, Clearwater or St. Petersburg, go for a market leader with a proven track record. One example would be the ProVision Security System trusted by Anytime Fitness health clubs for the security of all their branches and franchises worldwide. It is no mean feat to have been chosen by what is considered to be the largest 24-hour co-ed fitness club in the world and the fastest-growing global fitness franchise.

If you are considering acquiring a residential security system, perhaps you can ask for referrals to their residential clients in Tampa, Clearwater or St. Petersburg and get actual feedback. I would do no less if it were for my own family. The important thing is that you do everything possible to keep your family and your business safe and sound.

Internet marketing can be highly effective for every business. If you advertise your business over the popular web sites of the internet, people will see your advertise and if they are interested in your products or services, they will be your customer. There are many ways to advertise on popular web sites. You can place your banner on the pages that are relevant to your business. For example if you own a banking service business, you can place your banners at popular web sites such as E- mail services website, sports website and many other popular websites. You can get advantage of pay per click in which you have to pay only when someone clicks on your banner.

Business directory can also be a good marketing tool for any business. A business directory lists all types of business into their website. Although the listing in popular business directory may be costly, it guarantees the increased number of customers to your business. An online business directory helps small and medium sized businesses to grow up rapidly by increasing the number of customers to their business. It lists business from all the industry and from the region of the directory. Internet marketing has many advantages for the small business owners. They can market their business to many people at once, and people seeking for the business services will go to them and buy their services or products.

You can gather information about almost all businesses in your region using the business directory. The business directory lists various manufacturer, marketer, and sellers of various products from your region. It also lists information about institutes such as trade unions, education institutes, etc. A business directory list various service providers who provide services such as money related services, tax services, accounting services, marketing and management related services, etc.

Business directories provide two type of listing facility: regular listing and featured listing. Regular listings are generally free but it has certain disadvantages. Limit of description text, waiting for the approval of listing, no listing in the top category are some of the disadvantages of regular listing in the business directory. Featured listing is better than the regular listing in certain factors. First of all, you can list your business to the top category. Many people do not look for the sub categories if they can find their wanted business in the top category. So, there will be advantage for you to be listing your business to the top category of the business directory.

You can also take other advantages of the listing in the business directory. Some indirect benefits can be there for you after you list your business to the business directory. People can find your business from the search engines when they search for some business. If they find your business helpful for them, they will certainly use your services.

You should consider the importance of the business directory to increase your business. Find the best directory for your region and place your listing into it. This will really helpful to you to increase the number of your customers.
